Areas of use

Modern buildings feature highly insulated roof structures that significantly reduce heat loss through the roof. As a result, snow and ice may remain on the roof for longer periods, while meltwater can refreeze around roof drains and block proper drainage.

Heatit Roof Heating Mat provides targeted heating in these critical areas, helping to keep roof drains and drainage systems free from ice throughout the winter. This reduces the risk of standing water, blocked drainage and damage caused by ice formation.

The heating mat is particularly suitable for flat and low-slope roofs with internal drainage systems. It can also be used in roof gutters and other areas requiring localized snow and ice melting.

For optimal energy efficiency, demand-based control with Heatit ICE2 is recommended. The controller uses sensors to activate heating only when conditions require it. Heatit S-Control2 offers an alternative for installations requiring simpler, temperature-based control.
