TF roof mat is a heating cable mat designed to prevent the build-up of snow and ice on roofs with internal downspouts by ensuring that the downspouts are kept open.

New and improved insulation in roof constructions has resulted in less heat loss from heating in all types of buildings, which overall is an advantage both for the environment and the individual. However, this means that the roof constructions are colder on the outside than they used to be, and because of this, larger amounts of snow and ice accumulate on the roof.

Internal downspouts bring warm air from the heated zone, which condenses with the snow around the drain. This forms a ring of ice which prevents surface water from escaping through the downspouts.

TF roof mat solves this problem by keeping internal downspouts ice-free. The mat is placed underneath the roof covering around the drain, and may also be installed in gutters on the roof. The mat is connected to a temperature sensor and a relay which will ensure that the system is only active when needed. An energy-friendly and safe solution!
